BlackAgumon….my favorite Digimon (maybe we’ll see Blackwargreymon)

We probably might see Blackwargreymon beat some sense into GulusGammamon. He seems to be that type of guy.

I'm over here hoping if it does become a BlackWargreymon maybe its the one during adventure 2. They spoke of Digimon being deleted becoming digitama and all, i wanna see GulusGammamon's blue looking terra force clash with BlackWargreymon's Terraforce!

Welcome back, dark episodes of Digimon. While that was the highlight of the episode, my personal favorite is how Jellymon mentioned Selection D. For them to bring game/trivia material into the anime brings me much joy.

Indeed, seems like Ghost Game is finally acknowledging its connection to some of the games more than the other series, which is amazing because the Digimon games deserve more love.

Since when do Digimon have assassination programs? SINCE THE METAL EMPIRE EXISTED! An assassin Digimon killing Digimon for the heck of it and racking up body counts killing Bokomon in the process who saved Gammamon from getting killed.

We have had many instances where Dark Digimon evolutions were triggered from the lead Digimon like Agumon in Adventures original to Skullgreymon, Guilmon in Tamers to Megidramon, Agumon from Savers to ShineGreymon Ruin Mode, and, Tailmon in Adventures Tri to Ophanimon Falldown Mode, and Agumon in the 2020 Adventures to an incomplete version of Mugendramon. But all of them are forced evolution caused by a negative/ wrong state of mind by the human partner aside from the last one where it was effects from Dark Miasma and Taichi getting eaten. This was different where Gammamon triggered GulusGammmon all on his own and it's from uncontrolled rage due to Bokomon's death. From his two fights against Clockmon a shadow of Gulus was shown whenever he tried to steal Gammamon's time. Likely Gammamon had that kind of potential within him and it means Gammamon is a balloon that could explode at any minute if he doesn't learn to control his anger. For all that we might know now that Gulus has been fully awakened it will show itself more frequently now if Gammamon loses it again. Eventually it may get to the point where Gammamon may not be able to come back. It also looks like Gulus is his own being who is in full control of his own actions and is mature albeit ruthless. Something tells me this already wasn't the first time Gammamon evolved into Gulus.

Aside from that, Digimon gets murdered this episode and like usual they become Digitama and BlackTailmon takes them back to the Digital World.

well betelgammamon fire is already a hint that these digimon has a dark side if you notice his attacks is colored red+black emphasize an evil persona

This is what was missing in Digimon ghost gamer, death, emotion, feeling of despair,

I think people asking for that will finally be silenced, we got a glimpse of how dark this show can get, then again, what Digimon show doesn't go hella dark and shit goes down in crazy levels later in the story?

Sure there are some Digimon series that are kinda tame... but others just leave you in a state of "WTF, is this a kid's show?!". (Looking proudly at you Tamers)

I say Toei's actually giving what the fanbase wanted. Everyone's been hungry for Digimon's death since like episode 5. Angoramon's evolution is wanted just because Jellymon already received one, merely for completion purpose.

At least his evolution is in the ending. Is just a matter of time

They changed the opening and Angoramon hasn't evolved yet... God DAMMIT- !!!

I had a hunch last time that this episode was going to be dark, but holy shit I was not prepared for this and it was amazing and sad at the same time, amazing because shit is finally going down in this Digimon show and sad because Bokomon died and Gammamon realized what he did after Gulus took control over him.

I think I can say that this was the best episode to date of Ghost Game, we're slowly getting more lore about the Digiworld and we also got the explanation about the Digitamas, it shows there's a lot going on behind the scenes... because we saw Black Tailmon again but also we saw a Black Agumon, and it seems that Gulus knows a lot of things? What's up with all of that?!

Now I'm even more interested about what's going to happen next... and hoping that Angoramon gets his evolution soon, he looks dandy AF in the new ED!

Haven't seen this level of dark since Digimon Tamers on how real dark it got with Beelzemon killed Leomon

This show claps hard! I'm surprised they killed off Bokomon, Gulusgammamon's evolution was sick excluding music, and it seems there's more about the kid's knowing their digimon's moves.
Gulus seemed to want to connect his feelings to Hiro, or he at least understands more how the digimon/human connection works.

Depends on how you see it but it's mentally shocking...

This episode has 2 scenes that I genuinely like.
One, Gammamon's dark evolution to Gulusgammamon. I was at the edge of the my seat and screaming when that happened from all the hype that I've spent waiting for his dark evolution to appear!
Two, Gammamon cries for Bokomon. I teared up alongside him, it made me emotional, seeing our poor baby cry was heart-wrenching. It made me sad and I wanted to give him a big hug.

This episode made me feel stuff I haven't felt in a while. Hence why I deem it Best. (so far..)

What a way to start 2022.

This was truly dark, shocking and sad episode.

Poor Bokomon, he will be missed.

It's interesting how Gulus Gammamon has his own personality, it's nothing like Skull Greymon, Megidramon, Shine Greymon Ruin Mode or Mugendramon. Heck, here dark evolution wasn't triggered by human partner like in previous cases, but by digimon itself by its rage and sadness. Black Tailmon Uver and, now, Black Agumon too are shrouded in mystery. Are they friends or foes?

And, for those who wanted killings - are you happy now? You got what you wanted, right?

And, also, when will Angoramon get his evolution? Maybe in next episode?

good point, most "evil" digivulotions are pure savage. He's just like a battle worn nihilist and seemed to want to make his trainer the same way.

Oh btw, what is it with Japan’s shows often kills a character around December to January, kamen Rider ex-aid killed one of their character during freaking Xmas, Ultraman trigger kills Hudram too, and now? Digimon ghost game killed Bokomon

So gulusgammamon gets triggered when gammamon feels anger and or pain which means that gulusgammamon could be the true villain I wonder if his dad new about this also that black agumon could he be friend or foe since he saw what happen and sealsdramon was just as heartless all he really cared was the body count no matter what or who it was I guess some people and digimon are just like that

I can see it becoming real.
Probably he and blackagumon are from the same group, and i guess gulusgammamon is the leader of the group or atleast important figure which the group is searching for returning him or kill him if they think he betrayed them.

I..uh... okay, no one around ME is aware how ‘not for children’ Digimon are, past, current or future, and this, I just hope ghost game get even more popularity, allowing these scenes to storms social medias, I can already imagine Bokomon’s... sniff*, not gonna continue that, let us move on

I think Wezengammamon only came JUST last episode, and we already get the 4th evolution for Gammamon? Weird, not gonna lie, I really wanna see Angora’s evo, thank god we can at least see it at the ED, and boy, I love his personality, it fits so well, I internally begging the creators to come up with an episode involving a wedding/party/anything related to tuxedo, so we can Angoramon wearing a suit while evolve, I’m a boy and it feels weird me thirsty for handsome Bunny in a suit

Main dish... boy is this episode dark and black since beginning to end... usually Digimon have a fairly light hearted start into the episode THEN we get to the heavy emotion, this? It gets darker, darker and darker, dark enough to taint the pure white gammamon to corrupted dark beast, this is why I’m fine that we get this dark evolution so soon, we all already expecting this season is dark, darker than past season
1. Dealing with death Sooner than most other past season, make perfect sense
2. Have the dark evolution pretty much the earliest of all season, perfect
3. Sealsdramon, The creator kinda used some...TRULY dark ideas with sealsdramon, I’ll let you do the imagine, but just, wow..

besides, compare Gulus with other past dark evolutions’s appearance, Skullgreymon? 2-4 episode at most, megidramon? The thing only lasted 1-2 episode, corrupted shinegreymon? Yeah- no, Having Gulus this soon means it will be...probably... the longest lastest dark evo of all and not just toss aside, although, should this really count? as a dark evo I mean, if what Gulus said ‘He IS gammamon’ is true, meaning it’s what he originally is, I’m not sure it counts as dark evo, I just like to see more of Gulus’s development in later episodes
By the way, we saw ‘color’ evolution is a thing with Gammamon, seeing a white color Gammamon can turn into a dark color version, I’m hoping the last evolution of Gammamon will be pure white just like he’s child state, kinda like a shining-armor dragon/triceratops knight, or at least Combine both white and black together

Try my best not to spoiler, but, good job Bokomon, I hope you can return one day, this episode is amazing

Edit: I realized something, Compare past dark evolution with gammamon, those dark evo had something to do with the human partner’s mindset of the time, Gammamon is purely himself, I doubt hiro had much to do with this beside the digivice, yikes

Gammamon went Gulus entirely on his own and another thing to point out is Gammamon while in Gulus is in complete control of himself too unlike the other instances where they are pretty much berserk. Meaning Gammamon either evolved into Gulus by natural means and that was forcibly reverted or this is what happens if Gammamon loses control of its' rage. There might be an alternate reason to why Hiro's dad sent Gammamon to his son. Gammamon is the youngest of the Digimon trio and is pretty much a kid with Angoramon being the older and wiser while Jellymon is around the age of a human girl during their teen years. It could be that Gammamon died and was brought back but the Gulus persona still lingers.

There's a theory someone posted down bellow that I completely can behind of, Gammamon is probably a living seal to contain Gulus and the only way to suppress that persona is with love and care, hence why Hiro's dad told him to "Treat him like a younger brother" when they first met, and that raises more questions... why was Gulus sealed? Why does he seems to have a lot of knowledge considering the way he talked to Sealsdramon? Did Gulus was defeated in the Digiworld, died and then was reborn as Gammamon? Only time will give us all the answers.

Loved it.
Finally something serious to the point of digitama.
I like Gulusgammamon. They basically showed that partners could do attacks without the human command. It was also fun to see how Hiro refused to say it and Gulus just first tried to make his partner an accomplice to murder.

The only disappointing thing is that Angoramon is still the only one with no evolution.
It's a bit odd considering we got all Gammamon evolutions + Jellymon's yet still nothing for Angoramon. That one is a bit too stubborn, I guess.

I hope it's near because the evolution is in the new ending.

I hope to see a lot more of black Agumon.
